Students in Year 12 and 13 can apply to attend a week-long work experience programme with North Yorkshire Police this summer.

The opportunity is open to young people from any ability, faith, gender and background,  who are in education (including home schooling) within the county of North Yorkshire and the city of York – the only requirement is that they are enthusiastic about the project.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young people who are interested in joining the policing family to gain an insight into what we do, not just as police officers but also the different roles of police staff and opportunities across the organisation. We held a similar event in summer 2017, which was very popular and received great feedback.
The programme will run for five days from Monday 8 July 2019, and will take place at North Yorkshire Police HQ, Alverton Court, in Northallerton,
Applications close on 29 March 2019 (any applications received after this date will not be considered).
