DE&S Engineering Management Apprenticeships


Are you good at, and enjoy problem solving?

Can you demonstrate initiative, and insatiable curiosity about how things work?


DE&S Engineering are a highly specialised part of the Ministry of Defence with a headquarters at Abbey Wood, Bristol; responsible for the procurement and support of all the equipment used by the UK armed forces.

Applicants will need to relocate.

The first year will be spent at Bridgwater College where you could achieve the following qualifications:
  • National Diploma (ND) in Mechatronics / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechatronics / Marine Engineering
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Technical Support.
You will then have an opportunity to undertake a range of work placements that could be developing military aircraft, ships, tanks, missiles to name a few.

This could lead to recognition as an Engineering Technician through Engineering Professional Institutions (IET and or IMechE).

DE&S have 60 places starting September 2019, and applications are open until 31 May.
