Social Mobility Foundation Programme

The Social Mobility Foundation is a charitable organisation which carries out research and provides support for social mobility for students from low income backgrounds.

They offer the 'Aspiring Partners Programme' (APP) for students in year 12 to receive support with their career path/university application and continue to support you whilst at university. They provide support with:

  1. Mentoring by a professional via email
  2. Tailored skills sessions and career workshops
  3. University application support and guidance
  4. Internships with top employers

These opportunities continue whilst you are at university also, so its a great opportunity to network and improve your employability skills for when you graduate. It will be something interesting to add to your C.V.  We have had students complete this before and it has really opened up a lot of opportunities for them in the future with employers.

These are the careers sectors it includes:

Accountancy
Architecture
Banking and Finance
Biology and Chemistry
Business
Digital
Engineering and Physics
Law
Media and Communications
Medicine
Politics

You will need to check the eligibility criteria for this - as the charity has a function to support young people from low income backgrounds/first in their generation to go to university.  Please follow the link below which explains more about the programme and how to apply.

The deadline for this application is Wednesday 18th December 2019 at 12 noon (midday)

The deadline for all applicants to email a completed eligibility form and for your Progress tutor to submit your reference (which they will be contacted about separately after you submit your application form), is 5pm, Friday 17th January 2020. Therefore please speak to your Progress Tutor if you would like to apply.
