Wakefield Council have recently advertised a new vacancy opportunity for a Leadership and Management Degree Apprenticeship. See below for details and link to apply:


Our Apprentice Manager programme will offer you the opportunity to gain extensive experience of working in local government while studying for a Chartered Management Degree at a local university.

What will I be doing?
You'll be working in each of our directorates:
  • Adults, Health and Communities
  • Children and Young People
  • Corporate Services
  • Regeneration and Economic Growth
Spending a year in each directorate you will gain exposure to a range of business skills in a local government setting, including:
  • Strategic thinking in the public sector
  • Knowledge of how local politics works.
  • People Management
  • Financial Management
  • Project working
