The Holbeck Scholarship is an initiative which seeks to award scholarships to talented students who may have faced challenging circumstances (social, personal or educational) and have successfully applied to university.  The scholarships are not intended to fund any particular aspect of the student's university life.  They should instead by viewed as a reward for a student's hard work, commitment and successful progression to university.

The scheme is open for applications from now until the 24th May.  The student fills in the online application form and once this is done the supporting parts of the application are emailed to their parent/guardian and to a nominated teacher.  Only when all three forms have been submitted is the application complete and ready for consideration.

There are a limited number of scholarships available and the application process is competitive, but they can be enormously beneficial to the successful applicants in supporting them while they embark on the next stage of their education.

Further information, including eligibility criteria and the link to the application form, is available here.
