Please see below for a summer internship opportunity from the University of Hull:

Summer Internships @ Hull:
The Department of Physics & Mathematics at the University of Hull is seeking to appoint two Year 12 summer students, to join one of its internationally-recognised research teams for 5 weeks in July-August 2019.  Opportunities exist within the E.A. Milne Centre for Astrophysics and the George W. Gray Centre for Advanced Materials, including data mining astronomical datasets and simulations, nano materials, and laser physics.

The Department is passionate about breaking down barriers across gender, race, and socio-economics, and are seeking students passionate about undertaking an intensive research experience with some of the top scientists in the world.  Your grades or experience should not be seen as an impediment; we are looking for excited and committed students, regardless of grades.

A stipend of £150 per week will be provided to each successful candidate.  Expressions of interest (or any additional questions), in the form of a brief personal statement, should be submitted by 14 June 2019.

See your Progress Tutor for more details.
