Springboard is a free event, funded by NCOP, aimed at young people/ parents/carers with SEND (special education needs and disability) and who have the potential to progress into higher education (university/college/apprenticeship) in the future. Join us for a combination of talks from professionals and current students about the support that can be offered and their own experiences. A great chance to speak to local universities and colleges about what they can offer. Food and refreshments will be available. Social Mobility Foundation Programme The Social Mobility Foundation is a charitable organisation which carries out research and provides support for social mobility for students from low income backgrounds. They offer the 'Aspiring Partners Programme' (APP) for students in year 12 to receive support with their career path/university application and continue to support you whilst at university. They provide support with: Mentoring by a professional via email Tailored skills sessions and career workshops University application support and guidance Internships with top employers These opportunities continue whilst you are at university also, so its a great opportunity to network and improve your employability skills for when you graduate.
