Please see below details of a fantastic opportunity for a Year 13 student interested in training to be an Accountant.

The name of the business is BM Howarth Ltd. We are one of the largest independent firms of Chartered Accountants in West Yorkshire. We have Offices in Halifax, Leeds and Wakefield (Normanton). We have approximately 70 staff including about 25 trainees. We provided training support for AAT, ATT, ACA, ACCA and CTA.

 

We are looking for a bright, numerate and motivated 18 year old to join our team in Wakefield

 

We provide apprenticeship training programs for:

 

• AAT        https://www.aat.org.uk/apprenticeships

• This is our most common apprenticeship offered for college students

• This would generally take around 2-3 years to complete

 

• CFAB     https://www.icaew.com/learning-and-development/icaew-cfab/icaew-cfab-level-4-accounting-technician-apprenticeship

• This is a fast track option for students who aim to become a Chartered Accountant and can continue their Chartered Studies with us after completion
• The course depends on the individual but generally would take around 12-18 months to complete
• This is a more intense route and does not suit all students

 

For both apprenticeship routes we would provide students with on the job training at our Wakefield office, our standard working hours are 8.30am – 5pm.

 

In addition we will provide study days to complete the course at Kaplan Business College in Leeds https://kaplan.co.uk/about/locations/leeds.

 

We would require a copy of the students CV by email, initially sent to me. The initial interview would be with our Tax Manager (Craig Lawler) plus one of the senior members of staff.
